An interesting roleplaying game, I only really got into it... I think it was March. Anyways, apparently, this game has new ownership compared to before, so I can't really speak about then (for I wasn't here when that was the case).
The game is basically like a continually, community-made story. You create a character, you interact with other characters with that character, and you develop your own character over time. There are skill levels, combat (albeit that's definitely something that needs to be improved), mining/resource gathering, crafting (flavor text for items that the players make), and really anything that people can make out of a fantasy, medieval sandbox text game.
I would like to see more improvements to combat, and maybe local area maps for a tile eventually developed. Combat is too slow, it takes days to kill/KO someone because of it being turn-based when realistically it would last 20 or so minutes. Maybe a few hours.
Magic is a possibility for characters, however, you'd have to spawn in as a child character (which would require you to have your adult character become 22 to play as). Even with that, magic is rare, 10% chance for a child to spawn with it (50% if one parent has it, and 100% if they both have it). There are a number of different races available to play as, with different in-game mechanics to do so with.
The simplest I would describe it as, basically a continuous DnD session, with the focus being more-so about roleplay instead of number crunching and character builds.
If you like roleplaying and maybe character development/writing, this game could be good for you. Especially if you're into writing because nothing's better to develop a character or multiple characters by having them interact with the personalities created by other players.
There's also ERP if you're interested in that type of stuff you sicko.
Interesting game, it's a bit disappointing after the server fire that wiped the previous iteration. However it allows for everyone to get a new start at the game, allowing things to be shuffled from the stagnant continent spanning empire created in the previous.
The game allows for, essentially, civilization development. It doesn't allow you to go along humanity's technology, but it does allow you to develop your domain and build something out of nothing.
There are wars and conflicts, you train your people to become soldiers based on their stats, and you sent them off to war. Those characters have levels, which make them better at those roles.
Players also have lordly characters, which are what allow players to interact with each other on a tile.
